After leaving college in 1979, Paul's career began as a visualiser, then art director, at an advertising agency in Preston, Lancashire. He then moved on to work at a number of Manchester advertising agencies, on a permanent or freelance basis, before becoming creative director at two successive agencies.

A few years down the line, he decided he'd rather get his hands dirty with the nitty, gritty design work, rather than talking about it and managing staff, so he created bamboo:ZOO in 1993.

Still based in Lancashire, Paul now has more than 30 years design experience, on a wide variety of clients and sectors, both in the UK, Europe and the USA.
